You can find some great animations from the latest Avatar: The Last Airbender episode, City of Walls and Secrets, right here. Be sure to tune in this Friday for episode 215: Tales from Ba Sing Se.

214: City of Walls and Secrets

Avatar stripped and on DVD

A note, Avatar: The Last Airbender is now being stripped daily Monday and Tuesdays on Nickelodeon. Tune in at 6:30 PM as they start from the beginning. Additionally, all of Book 1: Water will be available in a single box-set DVD Tuesday. Amazon is currently selling it for a significantly discounted price so pick it up (and hope Nick will release a soundtrack sooner or later).

Some animations from episode 212: The Serpent’s Pass now online

The Sokka-love-centric episode that was 212: The Serpent’s pass is now available for your enjoyment. Since this is a site ultimately dedicated to Sokka first and Avatar: The Last Airbender second the first priority was to get some of the more tender Sokka/Suki moments available. Later this week all of the cool Aang/Katara waterbending action will be online.

Be sure to check out the ginormous version (weighing is at over 12 MB) of Sokka and Suki having their moment.

A veritable deluge of animated gifs coming up

With our beloved show Avatar: The Last Airbender finally returning from its 2 month haitus I bring along a ton of animated gifs from throughout the series. First up is the latest episode 213: The Drill with tons of action and even a little romance thrown in for good measure. And with iTunes upgrading their video resolution to 640×480 select scenes will have the extra-large version available.

Of course, this being a Sokka-centric site audio and video from 212: The Serpent’s Pass will be coming along shortly. Or they might already be uploaded and not yet posted…

An acrobatic girl from the Fire Nation, Ty Lee represents the most unusual romantic interest for Sokka on his journeys. Recruited by Princess Azula along with their fellow friend Mai, Ty Lee is a bubbly, upbeat girl who is prone to whimsical commentary (much to the chargrin of Mai). However, this personality masks her tremendous fighting powers where she is capable of manipulating the chi of her opponents to her advantage.

Ty Lee first mentioned her potential attraction to Sokka in episode 208: The Chase where she mentioned to Mai that “[Sokka] was kinda cute.”

Princess Yue

First Appearance: Book 1: Water, The Waterbending Master

Portmanteau: Yukka

The daughter of the chief of the Northern Water Tribe, Princess Yue was Sokka’s second significant love interest in Avatar: The Last Airbender. A beautiful, graceful girl Princess Yue represented a significant challenge for Sokka as he spent the better part of episode 118: The Waterbending Master attempting to woo the heart of Yue.
